In the city of Lezha on the May 5, Martyr’s day was commemorated. On this occasion, the representatives of the local government, war veterans, deputies, members of the family of the deceased, representatives of political parties, public administration employees and citizens of Lezha paid homage to the cemetery of the Martyrs.
In his opening speech, Deputy Mayor of Lezha Enver Hafizi highly praised the sublime act of our Martyrs, who gave their life for the country's freedom and also the contribution of veterans in the fight against foreign invaders. The Prefect of Lezha Eduart Ndreca, also gave his messages of appreciation to the sublime act of the fallen for freedom and liberty, and, stressed that we will honor May 5th of each year as an inherent part of our historical memory and as the pride of our national special values because the Albania we have today is as sublime sacrifice of th blood poured by our martyrs who deserve to be respected. Meanwhile, the Chairman of the War Veterans Organization Deli Bisha and other members of the war veterans in this homage event evoked the heroism of Lezha’s martyrs deserving special esteem and deeper gratitude. Leaders of the Municipality of Lezha, Prefecture and Veterans' Organization made visits to the families of martyrs. Deputy Mayor Enver Hafizi paid a visit to the family of People's Hero Fran Ndue Ivanaj.
